DD-360 · Microsoft end of support · Small offices

Your email server or Office has stopped getting security fixes.

Microsoft’s last security updates for Exchange Server 2016 and 2019 end with October 2026, with no further extension, and Office 2021 reached end of support on 13 October. Everything keeps working, but every new flaw found from now on stays open. We find what’s out of support in your office and move you to a supported setup, without disrupting your week.

Check it yourself in two minutes

These no longer get security fixes:

  • Exchange Server 2016
  • Exchange Server 2019 (after 31 Oct 2026)
  • Office 2021 / LTSC 2021
  • Office 2019
  • Office 2016

To see your Office version, open Word and go to File → Account → About Word. If your email runs on a server in your office or a rented server rather than Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, ask whoever set it up which Exchange version it is.

Straight about it

No pressure to go to the cloud

Microsoft 365 isn’t the only option. If keeping email on your own server suits you better, we’ll say so. We work remotely, only with access you give us, and alongside your IT provider if you have one.

Questions

Straight answers.

Q.01Will my email stop working after October?
No. Exchange 2016 and 2019 keep running, and Office 2021 keeps opening. What stops is security updates, so any new flaw found from now on is never fixed.
Q.02Do we have to move to the cloud?
No. Exchange Server Subscription Edition is Microsoft’s supported way to keep email on your own server. We compare it with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace for your office, and the choice is yours.
Q.03Will we lose any email?
No. Mailboxes, calendars and contacts are copied across and checked before the switch, and your old server stays in place until you’re happy.
Q.04How long does it take?
Most small offices finish in one to two weeks, with the switch done over a weekend.
Q.05Where are you, and when do you work?
We work remotely with offices in the US, UK and Europe, during your business hours, with the switch scheduled out of hours.
